DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION

Can you survive 3rd grade in a strange and exotic new world?

The Bright Shadows follows the students of Miss Mack's and Miss Lopez's classes as the young students learn how to make shadow puppets. In exotic Brooklyn. In one of the most diverse schools anywhere.

Some of the students have just arrived in America and have yet to learn English. Others have moved from the midwest. This charming documentary follows these new-to-Brooklyn students as they overcome insurmountable obstacles [at least, for an 8 year old], make new friends [who knew this was possible?] and under the guidance of a trained puppeteer [the irrepressible Miss Erin] rehearse their shows.

Will the students be able to pull it off and on the day of the performance entertain the rest of the school and their parents?
